Camp Bowman, Goshen Scout Reservation

Most of the troop 167 scouts attend Camp Bowman every year. It is a Scouts BSA and Venture Scout camp located, on the 450-acre Lake Merriweather in the mountains, west of Staunton, Virginia. Scouts cook, camp, and clean, in their patrols lead by their patrol leader. Adult leaders and other parents are there to guide, ensure safety, and counsel/monitor the youth leaders, who lead the other scouts. The camp is accredited annually by the BSA and must also meet State of Virginia requirements. The Scouts sleep in two-man platform tents with cots, they attend with their units and enjoy all that this scout camp has to offer, and they not only  earn merit badges at camp, they also have a great time!
