Donovan's Eagle Project
On Saturday, December 14th, a dedicated group of Troop 167 scouts gathered at the church to support Donovan's Eagle Scout project. Scouts helped pack the van and drove to Great Falls National Park, where they set to work tearing up an old boardwalk and laying down a new one to make muddy areas of the park easier for hikers to pass through. The scouts also constructed a new fence. Scouts can thank Donovan for the upper body workout as they worked together to carry the boardwalk, and planks from the parking area to the site of the project.
After hours of hard work, the Scouts gathered to enjoy some delicious Domino's pizza. The day was a big success, leaving everyone with a sense of accomplishment and pride in their contributions to the park and Donovan's completion of his eagle scout project. The next time you visit the park, look for the ‘Troop 167’ written on the boardwalk to see the contribution from these efforts.
