Canoeing

Picture
Our troop goes canoeing usually on the second weekend of the month. Our trips are normally on white water, where all of the scouts have lots of fun. This is something adults can enjoy as well. Having our own canoes makes the experience very easy and convenient.

Our destinations include Violette's Lock on the Potomac, Staircase on the Shenandoah, the Cacapon River, Smokehole on the Potomac, etc. Our canoe trips are led by our scouts and guided by Wade Turner among others. See the calendar for our scheduled canoe trips. Every once in a while we combine canoeing and overnight camping, doubling the fun!
