Philmont Scout Ranch
Born in 1938 as Philturn Rocky mountain Scout camp, today's Philmont Scout Ranch, is a bustling center for high adventure and training. Youth and adults take advantage of the Ranch's camping, training and work programs. Most activity takes place during the summer.
For many Scouts, Philmont is the crowning achievement of their scouting years and a source of lifetime memories. Our troop sends a crew to Philmont every two years, and it is reserved for those who are 14 or older. We ride the troop bus and visit the amazing sites along the cross country drive as decided by the crew.
