2021 Klondashpro

On May 8th, 2021, Troop 167 participated the in the Klondashpro in Arlington. This combined aspects of the Klondike Derby, The Alonzo Stagg 50/20 Hike, and the Projectoree. Scouts hiked to several scenic locations including Mt. Olivet UMC, Woodlawn Park, Hayes Park, Hidden Pond, and St. Agnes Catholic Church. Scouts participated in events such as fire building, using sling shots to hit targets, knot tying, horse shoe tossing, a compass course, poisonous plant identification, crossing a rope bridge, and a game called nuclear reactor where scouts attempted to transport ping pong balls using ropes and tubes without dropping them. This event was an excellent opportunity for newer and older scouts alike to learn or practice scout skills. Scouts who participated in this event received a commemorative patch.
