2021 Christmas Tree Sales
Scouts worked diligently preparing for and operating a successful 2021 Christmas tree sale at Mount Olivet Church. Profits from the sale went towards funding for future troop events. The sale was led by lead lumberjack Jimmy H. and ran from November 26 to November 28. This year, a drought affected many trees but despite this, the troop was still able to obtain plenty of good stock. Scouts guided customers in buying fresh-cut Fraser firs ranging from seven to nine feet, and two styles of well crafted balsam fir wreaths, Cranberry and Victorian. Trees were also sold online. Besides helping customers find their perfect wreaths and Christmas trees, Scouts also trimmed and cut trees, to accommodate different spaces, helped customers by tying trees to car roofs, and also helped with delivery. This was a great event for the avid Scouts and the supportive adults to work together, practice some marketing skills, and to raise funds for the troop.
