Troop Activities
Troop 167 has a full year-round calendar of activities from which our scouts can choose.
Every month, we go hiking and canoeing. Every summer, we spend a week earning merit badges and otherwise have a great time at Camp Bowman. Every other summer, we send a crew on a cross-country trip to the Philmont high adventure camp and to visit the amazing sites along the cross country drive. In late August, we have a beach trip to Chincoteague. In mid-November, we go to Camp Sinoquipe for shotgun and rifle shooting. In November we as a troop participate in Scouting for Food, which is one of the our most prominent service projects. In the winter, we go skiing at Bryce Resort. We participate regularly in Chain Bridge Districts events including the Projectoree, Camporee, and Klondike Derby.
