Chincoteague 2021
Scouts mustered at 6:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet, and left at 7:00 a.m. After around 3 hours of driving, we got to Chincoteague beach by 10:30 a.m. After a safety briefing from Lifeguard and ASPL David B., we were in the water by 10:45 a.m. The water was cool and the skies were clear, perfect for a day at the beach! Hours of wave surfing, swimming, boogie boarding, two fully completed Swim tests, and burying Scouts in sand followed (we got the Scouts out of the sand, don’t worry!), before we packed up. After 20 minutes of a service project for the beach, cleaning up trash along the crowded areas, we drove to our campsite. A quick dinner with clam chowder offered to everyone followed, then in the morning we packed up and were driving home by 9 a.m. Lots of fun, lots of sun, and a great time all-around!
